Brass Postal Scales made by S. Morden and Co. England. This balance was built on the Roberval principle which employs upper and lower crossbeams. Sampson Morden was born in 1790 and died in 1843. S. Morden & Co. are first listed in 1825 at 22 Castle Street, City Road as pencil and pen manufacturers. They started manufacturing scales in 1839. Morden & Co. ceased trading in 1941."
Antique scale was used by a client's grandfather and truly loved.
